Old Man
Yes, it's cheap to stuff a subject's hand into his pocket because you can't draw hands, but this picture has a sense of "solid whimsy" that I like to see in artwork, so I decided to post it. (Is it alright to admit that I like to like to look at my drawings?)
What kind of things do you like to see in drawings, paintings, etc.?

Can I offer a bit of friendly advice? Ok, since I know as you read this you said, "Yes", I tell you: Practice. I used to do the same thing with people in general. I would never draw people, and then once I got over that, I had the problem with hands and still do. Contour-drawing helps too, but I'll have to explain that one later!
Oh, and I enjoy most all art except for a messy abstract like the kinds elephants and three year olds sell for thousands online.
We all know my faves are Art Noveau, Pre-Raphaelites, and various book illustrators.
