Based on Vermeer's "A Lady Reading at the Window"
Unfortunately it doesn't really look anything like it. Vermeer's lady has a different-shaped head and is, I think, much prettier. And of course there's no window in this one.
But anyway, it was fun (and very relaxing) to work on the shading for this. I've never done fold in fabric before, and I'm quite pleased with how her dress and the curtains turned out.

Wow, that is REALLY cool. The shading in this drawing is so elaborate. Very expressive!
